About Kevin's Landscaping

Kevin's Landscaping is a softscape focused landscaping company. Softscape, or 'Softscaping' is the art of landscaping with plants. At Kevin's Landscaping, we strive for the highest standards of softscaping and horticultural practices to ensure customers satisfaction and to foster positive impacts on the environmental. We bring our many years of experience and expertise to each project. Most importantly, we strive to cultivate professional and reliable relationships with our customers - working closely with them to transform their landscape.

About Kevin

Kevin, founder and owner of Kevin’s Landscaping, has always had an affinity for nature. One of his favorite shows growing up was The Crocodile Hunter, hosted by Steve Irwin.

After graduating high school, Kevin acquired a landscaping position gaining hands-on experience and learning more about the art of landscaping. Working in the field of landscaping inspired Kevin to want to grow his own food. This inspiration motivated him to take on multiple farming positions furthering his knowledge and skills.

After many years of learning from others and gaining hands-on experience, Kevin decided to start his own business. He earned his landscape contractor license from the California State Licensing Board (CSLB) and continued to expand his knowledge of ecology, ecological design and horticulture by earning his Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) from the Occidental Arts and Ecology Center (OAEC).

Kevin continues to grow his expertise in permaculture, horticulture and softscaping and greatly enjoys the opportunity to put his knowledge and skills into practices.

At Kevin's Landscaping we strive to create gardens that make the homeowner feel like they are immersed in their favorite environment, hence our tagline: "Landscapes Inspired by Nature."

Planting plans

Each project starts with getting to know our customers. We then conduct a thorough site assessments and use colored marker flags to highlight planting plans. We also have the necessary skills to draw up detailed plans, giving customers a clear vision.

We are equipped to work with a full spectrum of plants - carefully assessing each plants light requirements, irrigation needs, and mature dimensions, giving them the optimal chance of success.

Installation

We implement holistic gardening practices such as: sheet mulching, organic composting, and water-wise irrigation, creating healthier spaces for you, your children and your pets.
